Manthan School: The Home of Amazing Learning

Amazing learning happens when our learners simply surprise themselves – and their parents and teachers, too – with the levels of learning they achieve and get to a level which they thought was remotely possible.

This level of learning being amazing does not happen every day. But it happens often enough at Manthan for. We want our children and students to leave us with a memory of how they were supported to reach a level that is over what they had expected to achieve. We want them to take that memory of excelling beyond themselves into their adult lives.

We have an unshakeable belief that all of our students continually achieve learning that is ‘added value’ and, occasionally, experience learning that is truly amazing. It is what our learners and their families deserve, and it is why we have set the bar as high as we have.

Sustainable Fashion Show by High School

High schoolers of Manthan participated in a Sustainable Fashion Show where they showcased a range of upcycled outfits which were designed from old, worn-out clothes. They contradicted the traditional belief that reusing or upcycling is not practical, by designing clothes which were stylish, comfortable and can be worn in everyday life.

Srijan, The Science Week - Pre-Primary and Primary School

Manthanites from Jr KG to Grade 12 recently participated in Srijan - The Science Week - where they explored the theme "From Theory to Reality."
Learners of the Pre-Primary and Primary segments engaged in fun-filled activities such as colour mixing, dropping different materials in water to see if they sink or float, and creating models with recycled material to learn scientific concepts. They also learnt that there is science behind many of our day-to-day activities, and celebrated that through different games such as charades/Pictionary and memory game of science terms, and making posters.

Srijan, The Science Week - Middle and High Schools

Learners of Middle School and High School used their innovative and creative skills to engage in activities and experimentation of different kinds to explore how scientific concepts translate into real life applications and phenomena during Srijan - The Science Week. They also used strategies to integrate other subjects with science while working on the theme "From Theory to Reality."
From Treasure Hunt to Designing An Experiment and from Magic Show to Sustainable Fashion, the week-long science extravaganza had something for everyone to do and enjoy. It was an enriching experience for learners and teachers alike.

Peer Teaching

12th grade Biology students conducted a peer-teaching activity where they demonstrated the preparation of a temporary mount of an onion peel to learners of 6th grade. Lab etiquette, safety and precaution measures, and instrument handling were thoroughly explained by the seniors along with the role of the materials and apparatus used such as watch glass, coverslips, stains, forceps, and needles. It was an intriguing session which allowed learners to engage in scientific enquiry, discuss and analyse concepts as well as provided our middle schoolers an opportunity to handle lab equipment and see the experiment first-hand.
